ABOUT FESTIVAL
As summer comes to a close and a new school year begins, Riga will host the very first Fantadroms – Riga International Kite Festival, a new international cultural event that brings together renowned kite artists and creative teams from around the world.
Fantadroms celebrates art, design, movement and togetherness, creating a unique experience for visitors of all ages. Throughout the day, the festival will feature spectacular kite flying performances by internationally acclaimed artists, creative workshops for children and young people, and a wide range of interactive activities.
Designed as both a celebration of the end of summer and a welcoming event for the new school year, Fantadroms aims to become a new annual tradition in the Baltics while strengthening Riga's reputation as an international destination for culture and creativity.
The festival will welcome artists from different countries. In addition to the kite displays, visitors can enjoy the view of sailing boats and yachts on the Daugava River, professional kiteboarding demonstrations, a food court featuring local restaurants, family entertainment, market stalls and numerous interactive experiences.
Fantadroms is created to inspire curiosity, spark joy and remind us of our shared ability to dream, create together and look to the sky with imagination.
The festival takes place at Eksporta iela 3A, Riga Passenger Port – Cruise Terminal, on the banks of the Daugava River in the heart of Riga.

Alongside the artistic kite displays, world-class kiteboarders will perform spectacular jumps, tricks, and acrobatic displays on the waters of the Daugava River. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the athletes and chat with them in person. Experience speed, energy, and adrenaline in the heart of Riga.

Artist Bridgit Polk returns to Riga to present her remarkable stone balancing performance. Each sculpture is created without the use of glue or any other binding materials, relying solely on balance and precision. Visitors are invited to watch the performance live.
